Gyor is a very nice city for a short stay. Please, plan this!

Room was decent and warm (December). The location of the hotel was good, especially for car travel (our case). Gyor is a very nice city for a short stay. It seems that it was somehow lost in tourist sense between bigger cities nearby - Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava.

Breakfast can be better. Meat options are very limited.

The hotel in the centrum. We liked it.

There is not enought parking place in front of the hotel and in the hotel. Second day the bread for the breakfast was not enought. It was not baked more bun and lot guests cannot eat it.

It's really good situated, the room was ok, the views... well not the best bit for 1 night was ok, the only thing is that the bed, are two beds that were separated and I felt in the middle, but we spoke with reception and they gave us a few hours free parking, so it compensate the situation

Great location for bit dated hotel. Good Value.

This hotel is an older facility so it is not as up to date with looks and services as some might expect, but you can't beat their location. It is right in the best location. It is on the corner of a main street and the walking/shopping street. In front of the hotel is the city hall and train station. The walking street on the side will take you to many of the small shops for shopping. The hotel does not offer room service, but there is a great eatery just off the lobby. The pricing is good and the food good as well. You can tell because may locals eat there as well. If you just have to have a fix there is also a McDonalds just down the walking street about 2 blocks. The room was quite, comfortable and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Some of the best towels in the bathroom. It has an older style tub/shower that makes the feet are a bit narrow when showering. But there was plenty of hot water and good pressure. Blow dryer in the bathroom was good. But the big thing here is about location. Easy access to a lot of things by walking, taking a bus, or taxi.

Parking is limited due to the location. They have a reserved lot that holds about 4 cars. Lots of other parking slots near the hotel are paid spots that belong to the city. Never found them open. Parking is 5 euro per day. There are were also no amenities in the room like complimentary coffee and/or tea which is pretty common in many other similarly priced places we have stayed.

Two sided hotel

Rooms are simple but decent. Hotel has a rather complex layout with floors in the old part much higher than in the new part. I had a room in the old part. Initially they gave me a room overlooking the courtyard. But since that's just a terrible view I requested a room facing outside and they gave that to me. Much better. Breakfast was OK, not spectacular but a decent spread. And since there were only a few guests, there were no queues at the coffee machine. In the end a good hotel for a one or two night stay.

I booked the hotel for two main reasons: the location and the private parking including the option to charge the car. Also the classic look of the hotel was a plus. On arrival it turns out the classic look is just one side of the hotel. The entrance is a new, rather ugly building. The private parking has only a few spots, which were all occupied. The charging spot was occupied by non-electric car but I have doubts that the charger would have worked anyway. The private parking is actually part of a public parking space with plenty of spots so in the end parking was no issue.

Good hotel - met my expectations. Traffic noise in the mornings slightly annoying.

Coffee was good, and good selection of breads

Cooked selection was a little poor. Orange juice was more like squash.
